ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Bonnie Bracken spent her entire career selling in the publishing industry, first as a bookstore manager, then as a newspaper print and digital sales manager. When she left to have her baby, she used naptime to finish her novel. Always, she writes. It’s her sanity, her sanctuary, and the sweetheart to whom she always returns. Le Morte D’Arthur first drew her to Arthurian Legend, and she never looked back. Now, she feels like she found all the real characters hiding among the fifth-century Anglo-Saxons, and they spilled the tea about what really happened to them in THE LOST CENTURY.

A note about her expertise in fifth-century England and King Arthur:

When she began her love affair with Arthurian Legend and medieval history back in college, Bonnie took so many classes on the subject she nearly completed a minor. After completing 200 hours of continuing education by listening to classes, reading relevant books, and sifting through library reference manuals and academic papers to get all the historical details right for this novel, Bonnie taught herself the core principles of Old English (the language the Anglo-Saxons spoke) to incorporate it into the book and then had it reviewed by an expert in the field to ensure its accuracy.

Abdicated

History boils Wallis Simpson’s story down to a soundbite: Edward abdicates the throne for the woman he loves, but it’s not reality. In truth, Edward was a secret Nazi and parliament used his unsavory choice of mistress as an excuse to push him off the throne. In this alternative history told through the eyes of Wallis Simpson twists, she rallies Edward and he keeps the throne, making England ripe for Hitler's taking.
